Military Suicides

Regarding the recent findings on US Military suicides. This isn’t just a military problem, when you search out the statistics on suicide in your local communities you will be amazed at the epidemic among mostly young men.

Of course the Media, is trying to link it with the horrors of war, but many young people today are raised fatherless, abandoned, broken homes, violence, rape, molestation, addictions, gangs, life for our young can be war zone. Even those from more affluent lifestyles, are living in psychological warfare with all the negative messages imposed on them through media and peer pressure.

Up until forty years ago, Christianity taught people that suicide and murder were major sins, which would cost a soul their salvation landing them an eternity in Hell. Whether that’s true or not, only God can read the real motives of a person’s heart and is worthy to judge on Salvation. But this believe certainly made life a precious commodity and kept suicide and murder rates very low.

Since then, our youth have been mentally bombarded to forsake God, and accept the belief that their ancestors were apes. And when they die they’ll evaporate, or come back as dogs or worse yet, fleas. So, with a twisted idea of a god or no god, they have been taught that they don’t need to be accountable to anyone for anything, which has been shown them through the ruthless slaughter of their siblings and peers.
In addition with the precept of believing the falsehood, “Love is never having to say you’re sorry” (Yeah right, try that one on family or friends!), many who profess Christianity today have the notion that they can sin all they want, and the blood of Jesus shed for them, will continuously cleanse them.

But having to carry around the heaviness of the guilt of their actions, not knowing how to be set free, the Church has been grossly remiss in telling people that all they have to do is ask for forgiveness and Jesus to come into one’s heart without on going discipleship.

We can see that these same lives have not given up on the sin human souls crave. There is no salvation without repentance and that can only be measured by a transformed life, otherwise to keep on honoring the sin is still denying the Lord.

For the person, believing he or she is saved, but not seeing it in their life, would be sure to cause them extreme anxiety and depression. In essence, Christians who say Jesus is Lord, but still feel that their own blood is the only way to peace, not accepting the Blood of Jesus, the atoning Lamb, really don’t understand the message of salvation at all.

The other unfortunate part of suicide is squandering the very gifts that the Lord has planted in each human being to fulfill our destinies and calling to build His Kingdom.

On the issue of casualties of war, every year American cities and communities lose tens of thousands of lives, again mostly young men, in targeted murders. Often we call these gang wars, but more often innocent people die, and terrorism involving our own young men (and illegals) trained in our Tax funded Prison systems, armed with drug money has created an internal unnamed war throughout our Nation that we have been blind to see. Every year the losses here in the US in murders and suicide are much higher than the losses we reap in the targeted wars of Iraq and Afghanistan. But it’s only discussed in a whisper and as acceptable as traffic accidents. With no government entity bringing in a solution.

The best thing that's happened today, is the advent of the Internet, where ordinary people can share truths that Syndicated Media has controlled for so many years. For those of you posting information, keep it up. The American people finally have a voice and the opportunity to share truth, without it being censored and Jesus said “the Truth would set us free”.
